“Conversations on Aging & Well-Being”:
Petaluma Senior Center

Monthly, Sharon will lead the group in discussing deep thoughts on aging. As aging individuals, we are frequently impacted by our mortality. We watch our peers age.  Changes may manifest in our thoughts and behaviors. This will be an opportunity to explore those changes.  Everyone deals with this in their own way & in their own time frame.

Some of the questions we may cover are:

Take the time and ask yourself what truly matters to you.

Do you see life as a spiritual experience as well as a physical experience?  What rituals are important to you?

How does watching our peers age and die effect us and our relationships.

What legacy will you leave?

How do you want to prioritize your time to do the things you really want to do when you are in your final chapter?

In October, I will be drawing from Steven Levine’s book, Healing Into Life and Death.”  He challenges us to focus on a kind of healing for our entire life, until our death.  He suggests exploring what may block healing and keep us from living a full life.  Levine proposes deeper access to levels of healing so that we can heal our Mind, heart, and Soul, even if we cannot heal our body.

The 4th Tuesday of every month.
